actually 1 of the unique thing i did in taiwan was the going to a hot spring, but in this case, its even more special becoz its naked! haha .yaaa. .so myself ken n darren went in, nt too bad.. saw an uncle there doing the treatment. it was mid noon, drizzling outside, so there wasnt alot of pple out there... it was abt 20sgd for full day.. so we tot its a gd deal, but after soaking for 45mins, we seh leh.. haha and left abt an hrs time .

the facilities there are pretty new and cool, like those u see on japan hr.. gt chance EVERYONE shd go to a hot spring like this, naked or not u decide, but this is really an expereince nt to be missed.. i think i will put an end with the taiwan stuff, blogger takes ages to upload the pics, i will jus upload all the encounters in facebook. those who havent try, shd!! my name on facebook is yeoh cheng yow. no prizes for guessing correctly.. its quite intuitive n user friendly, try!

taiwan part1

hi folks, finally gt some time to edit the pics, its nt ez, cldnt find a better way to do it, so gonna use adobe ps to do, instead of time-saving powerpt, i dunno how la. in short, the taiwan trip was a great getaway, great visual indulgence, great travel companions, only short of money and the disgusting ever ongoing freak rain..

the hostel is quite cool, they call it 'min su', direct translation is commoner's housing, its really similiar to hostel style, the rooms are pretty small, but for sgd15 a nite, u get cable tv, free adsl internet (1 terminal tho), free laundry service, basic kitchen facilities n etc.. its really a great bargain, nt to mention is jus 3mins walk away frm the mrt station. the hostel owner is great too, ever so frendly, she went all out to help us plan our day, even go as far as calling up to DBS bank (TW branch) to check hw come sg's atm card cannt draw money from tw's atm machines. respect! .. their service there is definitely a tier higher than ours! gonna work harder for us..

their mrt lines are more established, reaching to all major places and all within walking distance.. nt ez too, abt 80c - $2 for a travel, similiar to sg.


the shilin ultimate combo. the food haven. my verdict for the best: TAIWANESE SAUSAGE.. its fking big and juicy and its far better than those we eat in sg's pasar malam. ok price, abt 5bucks for the long schlong. the shilin chicken cutlet is ginormongous, prob 2x sg's size and its UNCUT.. authentic tw's style. its tender n steaming.. the spices, chilli powder jus enhance the aroma, we ate like 3times in 9days, dat explains my additional 3kg of fats hanging ard my waist. roar.

this is another must have for us, the mister donut, originated from japan, but managed to get a stronghold in taiwan. its the bomb. comparable to krispy cremes. yumyummm.. haha so almost everyday each of us would have it as breakfast.. ken would have 2of those, me 3, darren 4 n above.. haha that explains the height n width discrepancies.

gonna start work in 3days time at JTC, travelling time takes 50mins from home. hmm.. prbably need a car, but cant afford one. investment planning, trip, post grad masters.. i shall tackle them 1 by 1. can't wait.

kenting beach, taiwan supposely nicest beach, just ok in my opinion, sun was blazing, sand was burning, but theres something i need to do.

abt taiwan

10 things u least noe abt taiwan, well at least for me

1. they are big on recycling, even collecting used/stained toilet paper, receipts, etc
2. its raining almost 20hrs a day in taipei
3. they are well mannered and conformed to traffic rules
4. 9 out of 10 shops are for females
5. the original shilin chicken cutlet is uncut in taiwan, ie 1 single enormous piece
6. green color is not 'qing' but read as 'lu' se
7. every single women put on make up on the streets
8. every single women has procelain features and complexion
9. the authentic taiwan sausages is really super good
10. taiwan gers are freaking pretty


wonderful, hoping for gd weather so we can head down to hualian, kenting n other places.
